Welcome to Plateau Lodge, we are a family run lodge with a variety of accommodation. We cater for single travellers, families or large groups. Our range of accommodation varies from budget beds to private double/family rooms (with or without a bathroom) or a modern two bedroom apartment. Plateau Lodge is located In New Zealand's North Island set in the heart of National Park Village located on teh edge of the Tongariro National Park. We are located at the foot hills of Mt Ruapehu, Mt Tongariro and Mt Ngauruhoe, the lanscape of sacred volcanoes. Tongariro National Park is a haven for New Zealand's largest & most developed ski area, Whakapapa, Turoa & Tukino, while summer boosts the best one day hike in New Zealand Tongariro Crossing. In summer & winter National Park accommodation boasts spectacular views of all three volcanoes covered in either glistening snow or deep red volcanic rock. We are a small village with accommodation, hire equipment, bars, cafes and supermarket they are all in walking distance

Tongariro Crossing Lodge is owned by Marina and Louis van Wyk, and run with the help of Marina's parents, Olga and Nikolay. We love to travel and meeting other travellers, and so enjoy sharing our home in this special part of the world with our guests.
