Located under the breath taking mountains of Fiordland we have a full range of accommodation for every traveller. You will find us on the main highway to Milford Sound but very centrally located in the Te Anau township. We are only meters away from all shops, cafes and restaurants and a 7 minute walk to the lake front where you will see some spectacular views. Once reach the Te Anau town boundary follow Sate Highway 94. We are located 200 meters on the right hand side of the road, just past the Subway Restaurant.

The Public Bar/Bistro sports a big screen television and there is Sky TV available and in the Bar/Bistro. There is a guitar and piano available and there is an open fire in the bar. The hotel also has a wholesale bottle store. As well as the steady stream of international and national guests who stay at the Waiau just for the good old fashioned holiday, Waiau Hotel also host visitors who come to the western Southland region for attractions such as the Hump Ridge Track.
